Bonnie Lue Neeley Hansen, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend peacefully passed away December 6, 2018 in Layton, Utah following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Bonnie Lue was born on October 24, 1931 in her grandfather’s home in Riverdale, Idaho, the first daughter and third child of Mary Chloe McCombs and Lowell Miller Neeley. When Bonnie was four years old the family relocated to Preston, Idaho.

Shortly after graduating from Preston High School in 1950, she met Hugh Hansen at a church dance. Following a whirlwind courtship, they were married on March 7, 1951 in the Logan Utah LDS temple. Bonnie and Hugh created a home at the mouth of Mink Creek that was full of love, music and laughter where they taught the importance of education and service.

At age 61, Bonnie boarded an airplane for the first time, to serve in the Singapore mission with Hugh. They strengthened the saints in Malaysia and India and spread the Savior’s love. After their return they served together as ordinance workers in the Logan LDS temple.

Bonnie was a quiet representative of Jesus Christ who went about doing good, serving wherever she was needed. She was a great listener and developed many deep and close friendships. Bonnie is survived by her six children: Sandra (Earl) Kemp, Farmington, Utah; Sidney Hugh (Geraldine) Hansen, Richmond, Utah; Roxane (Wesley) Beutler, Dayton, Idaho; Patricia (Dirk) Bowles, Fairview, Idaho; Timothy Lowell Hansen, Worland, Wyoming; Wesley Neil (Heather) Hansen, Ogden, Utah; 26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 3 siblings: Earl Neeley, Franklin Idaho; Donna Nickerson, Boise, Idaho and Phillip Neeley, Tucson, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a great-grandson and a brother, Kent Neeley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mink Creek LDS chapel. Friends may call Friday, December 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church in Mink Creek , Idaho, 7316 North Capitol Hill Road.

Interment will be in the Mink Creek Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.
