Bonnie Martin, 92, of West Fork, Arkansas went to her eternal home on Friday, June 8, 2018. She was born October 5, 1925, daughter of the late Samuel David Hale and Esther (Burris) Hale. Bonnie was a member of the West Fork First Baptist Church.

During WWII she was a “Rosie the Riveter” and also worked for Campbell Soup Companies, retiring after more than 40 years employment. After retirement, she provided childcare in her home and, over the years, served as a second mother to hundreds of children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack Martin; a daughter, Frances Tucker, and her only son, Travis Martin.

Bonnie is survived by daughters, Jackie Rollins of West Fork, Arkansas and Tammy Hellinga of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother, Jim Hale of West Fork, Arkansas; 8 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren; 19 Great-Great Grandchildren; one Great-Great-Great Grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas. Graveside Services will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Union Star Cemetery with Pastor Heath Clower, officiating.
