OBITUARY Bowena Ann Boyd April 3, 1947 – September 17, 2018 Bowena Ann Boyd, age 71, arrived at her heavenly home on Sunday, September 17, 2018. She was born on April 3, 1947 in Bradfordsville, KY. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis E. Boyd, her parents, Bowen and Laura Belle Grubbs, and her brother, Felix “Buddy” Grubbs.

She is survived by her son, Randall C. Dever Jr. (Jennifer); granddaughter, Roxanne Gilmore (John); great-granddaughter, Jeanette Anne Wheeler; granddaughters, Makenzie Martinez and Megan Danielle Laux (Chris); great-grandson, James Francis Laux; brothers, Horace W. Grubbs (Carol), Milton L. Grubbs (Carol) D. C. Grubbs; sister, Clara Grubbs Wright (Thomas); brother-in-law, Glyn Parker Boyd (Amanda), and many nieces and nephews. Ann worked as a bookkeeper at Landis Construction where she met her husband in the late 70’s. She retired as a bookkeeper from Lexus of New Orleans in 2012.

She was member of the Order of the Eastern Star, secretary of Creole Chapter #43 of NAWCC (National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors), and a member of MBSI (Musical Box Society International). She was an avid crafter and also spent many days on the water with her husband, fishing and enjoying the quiet and peacefulness of the river and bayous. She was a very special person and was loved by many.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA on Friday, September 21, 2018 beginning at 8:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 10:00AM. Immediately following the service at Leitz-Eagan, there will be a service at Salem Baptist Church, 886 Highway 27N in Tylertown Mississippi at 1:30PM with burial to follow in the Boyd Cemetery in Tylertown, MS.
