Bradley Leroy Plombon, born February 2, 1955 in St. Cloud Minnesota to the union of Carol Domm Plombon and Joseph Plombon. He passed on June 4, 2018 from this life to join his twin brother Brian, younger sister Brenda Plombon and his beloved mother Carol Plombon . He is now safe in the arms of God and the hands of the angels.
He is survived by his companion of 23 years and dearest friend Eleanor Walker, his father Joseph Plombon, younger brother Wayne Plombon, sister in-law Jody Plombon, his nieces, Leslie, Lynn, Laura, Leesa, nephew Dusty, Derek, his great nephews Amar, Tristan, and Colton and his great-niece Natalia Tylee, Taelyn, and Everleigh. He will be remembered and loved by his entire family and a host of friends, who will always hold a special place in their hearts for him. Bradley was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, where he was very active in sports and received several medals for swimming and tennis.
He continued his education at a technical school and received training in the building and trades with an emphasis in carpentry. Brad was in the building and trades profession most of his life and worked years as an independent contractor. Brad worked for Lowes Home Improvement Company, where he used his vast knowledge of building and contracting experience for working with customers, contractors and staff.
In the later part of his life Brad became a business entrepreneur in Virginia, and later retired back to his home in Maryland in 2010. During retirement, Brad enjoyed sitting down daily in his favorite chair reading the Washington Post, starting with the sport’s page to completion of the entire paper. Brad was an expert in sports statistics and loved sharing information with anyone, including strangers.
Everyone enjoyed talking to Brad. He always had that big warm, wide, wonderful smile and “Minnesota nice” personality that people gravitated toward. Everyone that met Brad felt they had met a friend.
His favorite past time was sitting in his chair watching golf tournaments or any sports, especially the Minnesota Viking or Twins. He always remained hopeful for a win for the Washington Redskins and Nationals. He loved the beach and the ocean and frequently visited coastal areas taking pictures of sun rises and sun sets.
He was also an excellent cook and loved developing new recipes. He will be dearly missed by Eleanor, his family and friends. Today we are sad, but we all know that he will be in good hands with God.
In the days to come, we will smile when we think of him. He will be remembered for all of the special moments shared, and we can all thank God for the precious gift of giving him to us, if only for a short while. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Historic Chapel, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:00 am.
