Obituary for Breanna Eileen Speerin (Speerin) Print Breanna Eileen Speerin lost her valiant fight against cancer on February 7, 2019. Young, beautiful inside and out, full of love, selfless and charismatic our Sweet Bree is survived by her mother, Debbie Borlinghaus; father, Dennis Speerin, step-father, Barry Borlinghaus; sister, Alyssa Ruiz; brother-in-law, Mark Ruiz; niece, Zowie Ruiz plus a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Breanna was born in Slidell, Louisiana in 1987.

She was passionate about dance, all kinds of music, art, food, history and traveling. She was a Kilgore College Rangerette, danced on the UT Pom squad and obtained her Bachelors degree from University of Texas. She always wanted to travel the world and made a great start in the US, with memorable trips to Hawaii, Oregon, New York, Chicago, Florida and Canada, Mexico, Belize and more.

Old musicals and movies were a favorite and she knew many by heart. Christmas was her favorite holiday as was decorating the family Christmas tree. She never met a stranger and often chance meetings were how she made new friends.

Working in the service industry allowed her to be in contact with the things she loved: people, travel, music & dance. Rodeo and Mardi Gras were two big festival favorites. Most called her Bree, but those who knew her well and loved her called her “Sweet Bree”.

She was sweet, selfless, most genuine, loyal, amazing and free-spirited. She had a contagious laughter. Always welcoming and kind, she loved all things with a passion, her whole heart and faith in God.

She brought people together and was ever forgiving. She will be sadly missed but will be loved forever and always.
