Our sweet Bree was called home on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019. She was met by her Grandpa Bill. Bree was anything but ordinary and anyone who ever met her could tell you that.
She was loud, funny, loving, smart, and most of all kind. She could come on strong, but her infectious personality and booming laugh always won people over. We will miss that laugh most of all.
Once you knew her, you’d quickly find out her favorite things were pink, fluffy and/or sparkly. Not to mention her unique obsession with Hello Kitty. While some of us didn’t understand it, we all supported it!
It was what made Bree…Bree. As her father says, she came in during a heck of a storm on March 25th, 1975 in Ogden, Utah. Being the only girl in a family of 2 boys, Bree taught her brothers to never back down from anything and she was never one to back down or shy away from helping another person or animal.
She’d bring home other children who were hurt or sad to cheer them up or tend to their wounds. She did the same with animals. There was rarely a time that she didn’t have a cat, dog, or even a duck as a companion.
This kindness was ever present throughout her life. She was a loving mother to 3 remarkable children, Nikk, Brittnee, and Dez. She loved each of them so much; she was always telling people how proud she was of them.
She supported them in anything they chose to do, never questioning, and was always accepting. If they needed her, she was there ready to embrace them in a warm and strong hug. You could feel her love and energy any time she embraced you, no matter if you were her child or not.
She just loved with all of her heart. In May 2010 from across the driveway of her apartment, she locked eyes with Jason Lebo and they both knew in that one instance that life for each of them would never be the same. She called out, “Hey neighbor boy!
” to him but he would play hard to get. After their first kiss, a true and never-ending romance blossomed. The love they had for each other was palpable.
You could feel it when they were together. Love like that is rare and once you get it, you never let it go, so they married on July 2nd, 2016 in front of an intimate crowd of family and friends. Her kids walked her down the aisle while Jason looked adoringly at her.
Bree worked at the IRS and while there, she found a second home. She loved her coworkers and made many lifelong friends. If there was a holiday, they dressed up!
They went to lunch together, they hung out together, and they were all true friends. Her IRS family was incredibly important to her and they will truly miss her. Bree and Jason would go on to build a wonderful life together.
Whether it was buying their house, going camping, or playing with their dog Buddy, they both put their all into everything they did. Even in the worst of times, Jason never left her side. She will be greatly missed by him and her children.
Bree is survived by her husband, Jason Lebo; her children Nikk, Brittnee, and Dez; her mother Judy Eyre-Brewer (David) and father Steven Toennis (Arlene); and her two brothers, Iven and Lazlo (Crystal); grandmother Jean Colin Toennis, and grandmother Helen Sharp Eyre. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that all cherished her. Her in-laws held a special place in her heart: Patricia Lebo (Val Martinez), Tom Lebo (Kathy and her children), her two sisters Julie Lebo (Joshua Redbeard), and Sarah Douglass (Jason).
They will miss her more than words can express. A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from noon to 2 p.m. at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 1950 W St, Roy, UT 84067. There will also be a ceremony of life event following the viewing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to be held at the Veteran of Foreign Wars building, 1389 Main St, Layton, UT 84041.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. There is an account set up at America First Credit Union under the name Bree Lebo, account number 9107988. Bree, you will be forever missed by each and every one of us but you will never be forgotten.
Our wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, will live on in the hearts of those that love her. We will miss the heck out of you, but we take comfort in knowing your pain has ended and you are at peace. We love you.
