Brenda’s Obituary Ms. Brenda Ann Melvin of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on April 26, 2019 in Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was born to the union of Willie Joseph, and Odelia Ann Angeron. She was a loving individual to all who knew her, and always brought a smile into the room.

Ms. Brenda loved and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She served as church secretary for many years at Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church in Jena, Louisiana. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Steven Brian Melvin of Jena, Louisiana, her daughter, Alysa Dawn Melvin Schrock of Jena, Louisiana, One sister, Billie Marie Bowdoin, and husband James of Norfolk, Virginia, Three Grandchildren, Matthew James Nugent, Heather Marie Schrock, and Anna Mae Schrock She is preceded in death by her parents Willie Joseph, and Odelia Ann Daigle Angeron, two sisters, Martha Prudhomme, and Donna Boutwell.

Visitation will be held at Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena, Louisiana on April 30, 2019 from 9:00AM until time of the service at 3:00PM, also held in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens. Interment will follow at a later time private to the family.
