ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Brenda Joyce Williams, age 66, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at her sister’s home in Richmond, Indiana, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on March 6, 1952, in Richmond, Indiana, to Gordon Neil “Dutch” and Thelma Irene George Williams, Brenda was a 1970 graduate of Richmond High School. She moved to Florida over 20 years ago, where she worked as a manager and alcohol consultant at ABC Fine Wines & Spirits in St. Petersburg until retiring in 2018. Brenda loved her work and made positive impressions on any who came to know her.

She was a talented artist and enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and embarking on adventures to Alaska each year. Survivors include her sisters, Bonita Newby of Richmond and Mary Beth (Mike May) Williams of Largo, Florida; stepmother, Hazel McDaniel Williams of Richmond; stepsister, Amie (Steve) Strothman; sister-in-law, Pam Williams of Richmond; nieces, Sheila Clarkston, Tammy Stevens, Amanda Clarkston, Valerie Clarkston, and Brandi Sams; nephews, Brian Newby and Brantley Sams; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father; mother and stepfather, Thelma and Bob Reckers; brother, Bill Williams; and niece, Katie Williams.

Visitation for Brenda Joyce Williams will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www. doanmillsfuneralhome.com.
