Obituary Brent was born Sept. 1, 1953 to Bryant LaVar and Lois Richards Lloyd in Murray, Utah. He passed away on May 26, 2019, after courageously enduring many years of very complicated health issues.

In 1968, Brent met the love of his life, Janet Olsen while they were weeding potatoes at the Stake Farm. They married in the fall of 1973 after she graduated from High School. They were sealed to one another in the Jordan River Temple 29 years later.

They were blessed to have two sons, Jeffrey Bret and Joshua Chad. Brent was extremely hard working and didn’t enjoy sitting still. He worked in the construction industry and had his own company for many years.

He retired from the State of Utah as a Construction Project Manager. He loved challenging himself and completed the Leadville 100 mountain bike race at age 50. He enjoyed biking and backcountry skiing with friends, as well as fishing and woodworking.

Brent is survived by his wife, Janet; his sons, Jeffrey (Jamie) & Joshua (Amy); and eight beautiful grandchildren whom he deeply loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVar and Lois; and by his three siblings, Hal, Chad & Leisa. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Parkview Ward, 619 West 5750 South, Murray.

Visitations will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., and at the church on Friday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens. To send flowers to the family of Brent R. Lloyd, please visit Tribute Store.
