OBITUARY Brent W Hansen April 3, 1944 – December 12, 2018 Brent W Hansen born April 3, 1944, in Ogden Utah, to Walter Alfred Hansen and Isabelle Goodsell Hansen, passed away on December 12, 2018 after a short battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) at his home in Layton, Utah. Brent was born and raised in Ogden Utah, he attended Ogden City schools and graduated from Ogden High School in 1961. Brent was active in sports his entire life, was an accomplished violinist, and music was an important part of his life.

Brent worked 55 years as a painting contractor owning his own business and working for others, creating lasting and loving friendships. Brent worked all of the world painting temples for his church, eventually working on almost every continent. Brent also spent several years as a volunteer with Weber county Search and Rescue and jeep posse.

He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing throughout his life and was an avid Salt Lake Gizzleys fan and booster. On September 20th, 2008, he married Kris McGill and together they shared the happiest years of their life. They were very active in their church, held many positions, and after her death he spent time as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple.

He was focused on service to his fellow man, with empathy being one of his greatest gifts. Brent is survived by his children, Christina Simoni (Michael), Tim Hansen (Becky), Michele Davis (Chris), sister Barbara Osbourne (Tom), brother Russell Hansen (Shirley), ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Brent is preceded in death by his wife Kris, parents Walter and Isabel Hansen, and sister Nancy Jean Dickson (Don).

We wish to express sincere appreciation to Russell and Shirley Hansen, Hearts for Hospice nurse Jasmine and musician Camille, as well as the doctors and staff who treated him at Huntsman Institute. A viewing will be held for friends and family on Monday December 17th from 6 to 8 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Chapel Hills ward, 1290 n Church St, Layton, Utah. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday December 18th at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 s Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah.

FAMILY Christina (Michael) Simoni, Daughter Tim (Becky) Hansen, Son Michele (Chris) Davis, Daughter Barbara (Tom) Osbourne, Sister Russell (Shirley) Hansen, Brother Kris Hansen (deceased), Wife Isabel Hansen (deceased), Mother Walter Hansen (deceased), Father Nancy Jean (Don) Dickson (deceased), Sister Brent is also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
