Brian D. Miller Brian D. Miller passed away peacefully on February 14, 2019 with his loved ones at his side. Brian was born in Oak Park, IL on November 10, 1951 to Joseph and Geraldine Miller. Brian received his education in LaGrange, IL and graduated from Lyons Twp.

High School. Brian was a musician at heart, playing drums and composing songs. He was a roadie for Chaka Khan and her band Rufus and was thrilled to tour across the country and Jamaica with the band.

He became a consummate traveler, exploring the east and west coasts. Brian met his wife Marie (Mary Beth) in 1974. They married and were soulmates and best friends who never left each other’s side.

Brian and Marie had three beautiful boys, whom they both cherish. Always seeking to further himself, Brian apprenticed for and became a Journeyman Machinist specializing in plastic molding. Brian’s love for travel was infectious.

Brian and Marie traveled to Aruba, cruised along the Mexican Riviera, and made many trips to Vegas and Phoenix. They often traveled with Marie’s folks, and took their children to Cancun, Mexico for their 20th anniversary. Brian was also passionate about golf and was a true blue, life-long Bears fan.

Brian leaves behind Marie, his beloved wife of 45 years, sons Michael, Adam (Hollie), and Nicholas, and his treasured grandchildren Elise and Owen. He is further survived by his father-in-law William DeWees Sr. and brother-in-law John DeWees; also his brother Ken, sisters Donna, Gerry, Mary, and Carolyn, Aunt Dorothy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He is sorely missed by his canine companion Frankie.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles, his brother Joe, mother-in-law Marie DeWees, and brother-in-law William Jr It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
