Brian Keith Scott was born on February 6, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. Affectionately called Keith by friends and family, he was the oldest of two children to the late William Scott and Odessa Butler Scott. Brian grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.

Brian had an adventurous and playful spirit. He loved to draw. During his late teens, Brian loved to roller skate and eventually became a floor guard at the Blue Goose Skating Rink.

He was always the life of the party at family gatherings; telling jokes and dancing. His light-hearted spirit affected all who were in his presence. Keith loved music.

His favorite artists were Donald Byrd and the Black Birds and Loose Ends. Because we were raised by outstanding Southern cooks like Mommy Eunice Butler, Francis (Frannie) Brown and Mother, Brian loved eating good food and having a good time. Brian attended John F. Kennedy High School.

He loved driving. Keith attended Great Lakes Truck Driving School. He drove tractor trailer trucks for 6 years.

Later, he secured a position with the Cleveland School Board as a school bus operator for the district. For the remainder of his life, he worked as a free-lance maintenance worker. Brian Keith Scott transitioned on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

Brian is survived by two daughters, Samantha S. Luster of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kara R. Landenberg of Cleveland, Ohio. He also had six grandchildren by Kara R. Landenberg. He is survived by his sister Sandra D. Scott-Boyd of Cleveland, dear friend and brother of many years, Coland L. Leavens and a host of family and friends who stretch across states, such as Pittsburgh, Detroit, Alabama and Florida.

We are most grateful for the continued love and support of the Brown family of Cleveland, Ohio.
