Bridget Mary Catherine Gilmore, 71, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on December 29th, 2018. Bridget was born in Donegal, Ireland on September 7th, 1947 and raised in Dublin, Ireland by her mother and father along with her four brothers. She was a loving single mother and a dedicated nurse.

A warrior in her field. She came to this country in 1978, one of many Irish nurses who came because of the great need for medical professionals at the time. Eventually she settled in Fort Worth, Texas where this city became a Home away from Home and spent the next 30 years as an R.N. in the Texas healthcare system.

Bridget had a lifelong love for her homeland, its history and she adored wildlife and the natural world. She was a contributing supporter of the National Wildlife Foundation, K.E.R.A, and ASCPA. Her affinity for nature and animals caused her to be unable to turn away any strays that showed up at her door.

Thus, could be found a house full of pets that she loved and adored. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Bridget is survived by her daughter, Bevin; grandchildren, Jade and Cormac; and her brothers, Sean, Rory, Philip, and Fergus.
