Obituary for Bruce J. Capell CAPELL – Bruce Joseph Of Wales Center; passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 , age 78. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on January 25,1940, to the late Adeline (Bissett) and Wilfred Capell. Bruce attended Riverside High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was a lifetime member and volunteer at the American Legion Post 362 of East Aurora. Bruce was employed for many years at Carborundum Abrasives. Bruce had a passion for Christmas and many people knew him as Santa.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by brother Brian Capell; he is survived by his children Suzanne (Bob Brock) Capell- Eberwein, Lisa (Phil Villella) Capell of Venice, FL, Stephanie Capell Leathers (James) of Sarasota, FL and Jason (Shannon) Capell of Mount Washington, KY; brother Barry (Stephanie Lynn) Capell of Elmira, NY; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM at COMFORT FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 6469 Olean Rd.

Military Honors will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018, 11 AM at American Legion Post 362, 1 Legion Dr. (off of Center St.) East Aurora, followed by a luncheon where all are welcome to attend to continue celebrating Bruce’s life.
