Burl D. Gillespie, 75, of Orleans, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born May 25, 1943, in Springfield, MO, the son of James Lee and Dorothy (Planck) Gillespie. He married Regeina Gillespie and she survives.

He was a fork truck driver at the Ford Factory in Indianapolis, IN for many years. He is survived by his wife of Orleans; six children, Trenace Gilstrap (Larry) of Orleans, IN, Paula Kellams (Brad) of Orleans, IN, Brian Gillespie of Salem, IN, Eva Jo Becraft of Salem, IN, Sherri Gillespie of Indianapolis, IN and Donnie Gillespie of WA; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Gary Gillespie and three sisters, Donna Magner, Mary Lou Parks and Judy Eubank. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Wayne and Gene Gillespie and one grandson, Travis Gilstrap.

A private visitation and service will be held at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Brother Thomas Bostic officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
