Burnice Lamar Banks, age 89, of Fairburn, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was born on October 14, 1928 in Fayette County to Loy and Violet (Nelson) Banks. He was a machinist for Larkin Coils.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sara (Williams) Banks. He is survived by daughters, Donna Bales and her husband, Mike, of Marietta and Debra Nixon and her husband, Terry, of Suwanee; son, Michael Banks of Newnan; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial donation be made in honor of his dear wife, Frances, to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Road, Suite 105, Northfield, IL 60093.
