Obituary for Burt Stuart Slater Burt Stuart Slater, age 94 of Romeoville, IL. , passed away Thursday December 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Edna A. Slater; loving father of Paul (Rose) Slater, Carolyn (Robert) Carozzoni, Joanne (Kent) Witts, Christine (Robert) Zajda and the late Margaret S. Slater; devoted grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of two; fond brother of the late John (late Marion) Slater; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Slater was a WWII Navy Purple Heart recipient and retired from Danly Machine Corporation after 25 years of service. Memorial visitation will take place on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Chapel 606 Townhall Dr. Romeoville, IL. with memorial service taking place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Private inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

Service concludes at funeral home. Cremation rites to be accorded. In Lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
