Burton P. “Jessie” Barrientez, Jr. age 35 of Leon Valley, TX passed away on Saturday February 23, 2019. He is survived by his mother, Dolores Martinez of Whiting, IN and two siblings Paul Mendoza, Nicole Mendoza, nephew Efrain Chavez Jr., numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Consuelo Martinez, great-aunt Margaret Becker, and cousin Mario Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 2, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. 45th Ave. , Griffith. A special memorial service will be from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM All are invited to attend a regular Sunday Mass and sit with the family on Sunday March 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Casimir Church located at 4340 Johnson Ave.

, Hammond, IN. Jessie’s great love for life and for others was immeasurable. Whether cooking for his family, singing along to Disney films, playing with his nephew Efrain, or dancing like no one was watching-his presence was always known.

In his later years, Jessie proudly channeled his desire for helping others into a home solutions business serving the NWI and Chicagoland area. He loved caring for the homes of his client family. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and generous friend.

He was bold, bright, and truly one of a kind. His irreplaceable light will continue to shine on in our hearts forever more. We love you Jessie!
