OBITUARY B.V. “Budd” Stewart August 26, 1925 – January 25, 2019 B.V. “Budd” Stewart, 93, of Mulberry, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home. He was born August 26, 1925 in Luciusboro, PA. He was a retired diesel mechanic for J.A. Riggs Tractor in Fort Smith, and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

He served in Navy, Army, and Merchant Marines during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Stewart of the home; two daughters, Norma Smith and husband R.B. of Mulberry, and Suzette Hoover of Ozark; three sons, John Stewart of Pensacola, FL, Billy Stewart of Mulberry, and Sean Stalnaker of Searcy; twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends prior to the Rosary from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reynolds Cancer Support House at reynoldscancersupporthouse.org/donate/, or St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 1025 East Pointer Trail, Van Buren, AR 72956.
