Byron Wayne Hendricks June 03, 1941 – December 22, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Byron Wayne Hendricks, 77, of Foristell, MO passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Barathaven Memory Care Facility at Dardenne Prairie, MO. Byron was the son of Jack and Martha Hendricks, born at home in rural Montgomery County on June 3, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Larry Hendricks.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen (Falloon) Hendricks of Foristell, MO; brother, Ronald Lee Hendricks of Florissant, MO; brother, Lowell Grant Hendricks (Jan Adams) of Carrollton, MO; sister-in-law, Doris Hendricks of Montgomery City, MO; sister-in-law, Diana Long of Montgomery City, MO; and brother-in-law, David Falloon (Mary Schroeder) of Montgomery City, MO, other family members and nieces and nephews. Byron and Ellen were married at the Buell Methodist Church in Buell, MO, on June 8, 1968. Byron was a graduate of St. Louis County Hospital Radiology School, Clayton, MO and the Missouri University at St. Louis, MO.

He worked in the medical fields of radiology and ultrasound for 47 years, before retiring in 2007. Byron did his ROTC training at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and served two years in the United States Army, being stationed at Ft. Benning, GA.

While at Ft. Benning he was assigned to the 4/69th Armor Battalion. Byron was an active member of the Warren County Old Thresher’s Organization and the MO Draft Horse and Mule Association for many years.

He was an avid deer hunter and loved being outdoors – whether hunting with his Dad and Brothers, working with his Suffolk Draft Horses, gardening, or bird-watching. Byron was a dear friend to many, loving husband to Ellen (of 50 years) and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Byron was cremated and there will not be any services at this time.

Schlanker Funeral Home of Montgomery City, MO, was in charge of the arrangements.
