Obituary for C. Fred “Freddy” Sassanella C. Fred “Freddy” Sassanella, 61, of Applegate, passed away on June 7, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born on August 14, 1956 in Port Huron, son of the late Charles and Delores Sassanella. Freddy owned and operated C. Fred Sassanella Construction.

He was an avid hunter and fisher. He was also a collector of antiques. Freddy enjoyed gardening, cooking and restoring furniture.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany Sassanella and Aaron Kring of Fort Gratiot; grandfather of Sassy, therapy Golden Retriever; beloved brother of, Rev. Connie Sassanella of Harbor Beach and he was also a beloved uncle and friend to many. Per Mr. Sassanella’s request cremation has taken place.
