Calvin Cragun passed away peacefully February 22, 2019. He was born November 14, 1940 to Robert Wallace and Vivian Parker Cragun in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Celestia Van Tussenbroek, December 20, 1967 in the Logan LDS temple.

He was a proud graduate of East High School and the University of Utah, where he lettered in football all four years. He taught school for several years and had a career as an insurance agent. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He served a mission in New England and also served as bishop, high councilman, and Sunday School teacher. He is survived by his wife and children, Marlayn (Russ) Shreeve, Caroline (Randy) Bobo, and Robbie Cragun; 7 grandchildren; his brothers Wallace (Dianna) Cragun and Keith (Kriss) Cragun. He was preceded in death by his son David.

Thank you to the CNS hospice team, especially Michelle, Doug, Charles, and many others who helped. Services will be Friday, March 1, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Brighton First Ward, 2925 E. Bengal Blvd (7800 S.). Viewing will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the Cannon Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church.

Internment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
