Ms. Canary’s Obituary Canary Harris was born on August 13, 1929 to the union of Ammie (Thomas) and Sidney Harris in Trezevant, Tennessee. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and united with Greater St. Luke Baptist Church. She retired from the workforce in 1981.

In her leisure, Canary enjoyed attending church, serving on the usher board, fixing puzzles, coloring, fishing and being with her family, especially during the holidays. Canary was and usher with the Order of the Eastern Star for 49 years. Canary Harris departed this life on January 14, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ammie and Sidney Harris; two brothers, Jack McClain and John Harris; and four sisters, Sis. Esther Turner, Trevor Hilleman, Caroline Willes and Othella Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Mrs. Ardie M. (Charles) Triggs, Ammie M. McGee and Sherman D. Harris, all of Racine, WI, Theresa A. (Carl) Harris of Michigan; ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; special granddaughter, Sherrice C. Harris; godson, Donnie Gardner; god grandson, Timothy Abbott; dearest usher friend, Arthur Harmon; special loving friend, Mr. Eddie White and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
