Candace, born on April 8, 1957, grew up in Preston Ct to Francis and Phyllis Jane Hoye, sibling of Roxanne Peel (Chuck and Monty), Michael (Nancy) Hoye, Gregory Hoye, and Shelley Dennis. Her love of adventure and fun was paramount in dictating what road she would take next.

From setting off to Florida at 18 to joining the Army National Guard at 25. Candace worked hard, so she could play hard. From Blockbuster Video to Cake Decorator, from Real Estate Agent to Contract Specialist.

Her career path was chosen based on her ability to show up when she wanted. Because being there on time wasn’t an option. From Clown College to UConn, from juggler to her bachelor degree.

These are some of her proudest moments, but not defining ones. This degree helped propel her through life to help sustain her love of travel. From Florida to Maine, From Costa Rica to the Galapagos’.

She loved travel, but not as much as she loved traveling with Robert DeSantis. The love of her life. With Bob, her competitive spirit was brought to life.

Crossword puzzles, Scrabble, board games, and trivia. Even sports with Kayaking, hiking, and golf. Nothing was off limits.

And she had fun doing it. Highlights of her life are their grandchildren; Liam, Kayla, Beckett, Brent, Miles, and Harper. Having them just made life more fun.

Her children and their spouses will miss her; Mary and Mark, Emelia and James, Heather and Jason, Andrew and Danielle. As well as all her nieces and nephews.
