Carissa Bomar Mangrum, 49, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. She was born in Paragould, October 15, 1969, to Wayne and Sandra Bomar. Carissa was a 1988 graduate of Ridgecrest High School.

Carissa was a loving daughter, sister, and above all, a very loving mother. Carissa won her battle with cancer after 2 years. She fought bravely and was always in high spirits.

Carissa was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Bomar. Survivors include her husband, Michael Dees; mother, Sandra Bomar; sons, Aadon, Brett, and Brenden Mangrum, Mitchell Dees; daughters, Kristen and Aubree Mangrum; brother, Michael Bomar; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be on Monday, December 17, at 10 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. Stacey McBride, Cory Register, Blake Freeman, Jay Robertson, Sam McHaney, and Jeremy Cox will serve as pallbearers.
