OBITUARY Carl Allen Mohlin “Butch” January 7, 1945 – October 24, 2018 Carl Allen Mohlin “Butch”, 73, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away October 24, 2018. Carl was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to the late Carl and Mildred Mohlin nee Lynz. At the age of 16, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he resided for a few years before joining the United States Army.

Carl eventually moved to New Jersey before settling in Port St. Lucie 21 years ago. He worked for 31 years as a printer for Smith and Dunlap. Carl was a lifetime member of The American Legion and was also a member of The DAV-Disabled American Veterans.

Carl enjoyed wood working projects and often gave away his work to family and friends. He spent countless hours during the night working in his garage on one project or another. He enjoyed reading Tom Clancy novels and watching scary adventurous movies.

Years ago before becoming disabled, Carl was an avid fisherman. He will be missed for his unique dry sense of humor. He was a jokester at heart and loved to tease his friends and family.

He was always making people laugh. Carl cherished the time he spent with friends and family eating out. He loved food and companionship.

Whenever he would walk in, they would bring him food and say “Here comes trouble”. But he truly enjoyed the staff and they truly enjoyed his company. He loved children and would go up to families and make children laugh.

His generous heart and compassion towards others will be missed by all he knew. Carl was preceded in death by his son, Carl Mohlin Jr. Survivors include his wife, Irene Ann Mohlin; son, Mark Mohlin (Lauren); daughter, Sharon Mohlin; stepchildren, Steven Rubadou (Dana), Lawrence Rubadou (Benda), and Jason Machado (Elizabeth); numerous grandchildren; sisters, Judy Mohlin and Nancy Miller; and brother, Keith Mohlin. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and inurnment will take place with military honors at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice , 5090 Dunn Road Fort Pierce, Florida 34981. FAMILY Survivors include his wife, Irene Ann Mohlin; son, Mark Mohlin (Lauren); daughter, Sharon Mohlin; stepchildren, Steven Rubadou (Dana), Lawrence Rubadou (Benda), and Jason Machado (Elizabeth); numerous grandchildren; sisters, Judy Mohlin and Nancy Miller; and brother, Keith Mohlin.
