Obituary for Carl Edward Smith Carl Edward Smith was born January 23, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Charles Mackie and Katherine Smith. While growing up he attended Brynn Marr Elementary School and Whitney Young High School. Carl worked in the food service industry for the last 15 years.
On May 19, 2018, God called Carl home. Carl leaves to cherish his memory is his father Charles Mackie; four brothers Christopher Smith, Charles Mackie, Carlos Mackie and Aaron Mackie; three sisters Tracey Mackie, Reba Smith and Crystal Mackie; two daughters Phylicia White and Cari Smith; four sons Marcello Smith, Carl M. Smith, Marcus Smith and Melvin Smith; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends. To his family and friends Carl will always be remembered as THAT VOICE OF FUN AND LAUGHTER!
! ! He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
