Obituary for Mrs. Carla Nan Hiob Carla Nan Hiob passed away peacefully in her mountain home September 5, 2016 surrounded by her family. She leaves two sons, Bryce and Brady, and her husband, Blaze. Carla was born August 24, 1964 in Hanford, CA, the daughter of Vernon and Janice Schroeder.

She grew up in Orange County, California where she attended Estancia High School and Orange Coast College before moving to Lake Tahoe, CA. Carla met the love of her life at Sierra Ski Ranch in South Lake Tahoe, CA where she would eventually settle down to raise her children. The two settled on the outskirts of town where they could enjoy the outdoors including fishing and gardening.

Professionally, Carla devoted nearly twenty years to the Great Outdoor Clothing Company where she built lifelong friendships. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family including her Aunt Kathy and two cousins Beth and Diana. After an early retirement, she spent much of her time supporting her boys in their athletic ventures.
