Obituary of Carmelita Halaszynski Carmelita A. Halaszynski, age 74, of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born in Puerto Rico on July 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Antonio and Facunda Rivera Martinez Guzman, and the wife of the late William N. Halaszynski. She was employed at Forbes Regional Hospital for many years and was a member of Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport.

Carmelita enjoyed cooking and loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by children; Christina (John) McAraw of White Oak, Christopher (Jenn) Halaszynski of McKeesport, Joseph Halaszynski of Latrobe, Theresa (William) Pisciuneriof Moon Township, Adam (Denise) Halaszynski of Waxhaw, NC, Toni Halaszynski of Port Vue, Timothy Halaszynski of Jefferson Hills, William (Cheryl) Halaszynski of Elizabeth, Bernadette (John) Foley of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Richard, David, Jessica, Aleena, Dahlia, Arista, Cherokee, Dylan, Malcolm, Rachel, Brett, and Jenna; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her 17 siblings.

Friends and family will be received at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 1513 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 2:00 until 7:00 pm.
