Obituary of Carmella Rizzo Carmella M. Rizzo, 101 years, of Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday July 15, 2018 at her residence. She was born on Tuesday July 25, 1916 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Pietro and the late Vincenza (née Cavallo) Silvestri. Wife of the late Mayor Frank L. Rizzo.

Carmella was survived by her son Frank (Debbie) Rizzo and daughter Joanna (late Joseph) Mastranardo and one grandchild. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Jul 20 from 11:00 AM at Our Mother Of Consolation Church 9 E. Chestnut Hill Ave. , Philadelphia Calling hours will be held on that morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM also at the church.

Carmella’s Interment will take place following the funeral mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave. , Philadelphia .
