Carmen Allene Dartez Morphis, of Munford, Tennessee, passed away on March 24, 2019. Carmen was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 3, 1957, and was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda June Phillips Gilbert, father Raymond John Dartez, and brother Jimma Glenn Gilbert. Carmen graduated from Raleigh-Egypt High School in 1975, studied at the University of Memphis, and began her career in nursing.

She later became a long time worker, friend, and family member to many in the auction community in Shelby and Tipton Counties, which she truly loved. Carmen is survived by her children from her marriage to Gary Morphis- daughters Misty Solang (Fred) and Christan “Cree” Morphis(Danny), son Charles “Dusty” Morphis, and her grandchildren, Tyler, Zach, Brooklynn, Charlotte, Josh, Joel, Michael, Megan, and Rhett. A memorial service for Carmen will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 1:00pm at Schoolfield Baptist Church, 4438 New Brownsville Road, Memphis.
