Obituary for Carmen Milagros Nieves Carmen Milagros Nieves March 14, 1952-September 19, 2018 Carmen Milagros Nieves was born March 14, 1952 in the Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Maria Luisa and Marcos Rodriguez. A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to many, and has entered Heavens Gates on September 19, 2018.
Carmen was a remarkable Christian woman, who enjoyed living with a servant’s heart. She always placed the needs of others before her own and gave her all, even if it meant taking away from herself leaving her with nothing. A real-life Wonder Woman, who took on the role of the family Matriarch after the death of her mother Maria Luisa Rodriguez in 1990.
Carmen was the second born of 6 siblings with one older brother, one younger brother, and three younger sisters. For many years leading up to her passing, she enjoyed mostly the music and dancing of her Hispanic culture that of the Puerto Rican heritage, and the spirit of holidays with her favorite being Christmas. She loved to watch the life time channels during her spare time and creating arts and crafts for family and friend’s special events.
Carmen had a remarkable smile, a smile that blessed the hearts of many and will always remain contagious. Her strength as a fighter was out of this world, that strength that could only come from her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Despite her obstacles, Carmen wouldn’t finish anything without a good fight even until her very last breath.
Carmen surely blessed and touched the lives of many, and forever will live our hearts. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, and parties at her house because her family and friends were her ultimate delight. Carmen’s heart was definitely made of the most precsious Gold.
Carmen Milagros Nieves is survived by her husband Miguel Nieves, her three children Jacqueline Rivera, William Rivera, and Robert Rivera, four grandchildren, Edwardo Ayala, Sandra Vergara, Miguel Rivera and Samuel Rivera,: One great grandson Kevin Bojorquez: Four sisters Lillian Rodriguez, Diana Fonte, Edna Hernandez, and Hilda Segarra; one uncle Julio Cruz, and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank everyone who extended their emotional support for Carmen during her last and final days. Viewing Services will be held at Heritage Mortuary, 3610 N. Ranch Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130 from 3:00-7:00pm on September 27th, followed by a service in celebrating her life on September 28th, 2018 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
Burial services will be conducted at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Rd. , Las Vegas, NV 89129 from 12:30-1:30 pm, officiating will be Pastor Bruce Morris. Forever in Our HEARTS!
