SARATOGA SPRINGS – Carol A. Darling, age 77, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 3, 1941 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of the late Dayton Cleveland and Rita Ann Gibbs. Carol was a Chef for Sagamore in Raquette Lake and Ecology Environment in Lancaster for many years.

Carol’s kitchen was always filled with food and love. She was a peaceful, optimistic, and loving woman. She possessed a gentle and kind spirit, she adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She devoted her life to her family. Carol is survived by her sons, Eugene G. Darling Jr. (Sandra Schmitt), John Darling (Jennifer); daughter, Joanna L. Darling. She is also survived by her sisters Jan Naujokas (Andy), Linda Rodgers (Jim), brother Dayton Cleaveland (Theresa).

Many nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly. There will be no viewing or services per her wishes. Donations may be made in her name to Raquette Lake Fire Department.
