Carol A. Trosen February 20, 1939 – December 18, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Age 79 Carol passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 20, 1939 in Southwest Detroit to Oscar and Emma (Skarjune) Schock. She was a 1957 graduate of Western High School, during which time she was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow Girls.

On September 27, 1958, Carol married Robert ‘Bob’ Trosen. Together, they had two children, Brian (Lori) Trosen, and Laurie (Bret) Chiles. She is the grandmother of Cole Trosen, Shianne and MaKayla Chiles, and Kait and Joe Halper.

Carol worked as a para-pro in the Wayne-Westland School District for over 20 years. At Good Hope Lutheran Church, she was the Sunday School Director, VBS Coordinator, and served in the Altar Guild, at Good Hope and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maryville, TN. Carol also volunteered her time at many swim meets, keeping score and writing numerous ribbons.

In retirement, Carol and Bob moved to Vonore, Tennessee where she was involved with Christian Women Connections. Carol enjoyed many hobbies such as traveling, golfing, bowling, boating, basket weaving, and macramé. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

We are comforted to know she is in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Memorial visitation Thursday, January 10th, 10 am until the 11:30 am Memorial Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
