Carol A. Stuckey, 76 years, of West Unity, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 in her residence, with her husband at her side. Carol was born June 19, 1942 in Wauseon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dan and Marjory (Werder) Wyse. She was a 1960 graduate of Stryker High School and then attended Goshen College.

She married Paul Stuckey on February 3, 1962 in West Unity, and he survives. A loving wife and mother, Carol took great pride in caring and providing for her family. She was a lifelong member of Lockport Mennonite Church, where she actively served throughout her years.

Carol was a 4-H advisor as well as a volunteer at Sauder Village where she shared her quilting talents with those who visited. Carol enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge. She treasured the time she could spend with her family, following her children, grandchildren and great grandsons in their activities.

Surviving is her husband, Paul of West Unity; three daughters, Pam (Keith) Schroeder of Defiance, Paula (Jeff) Sprow of Ney and Patsy (Kevin) Miller of West Unity; six grandchildren, Layne (Chelsie) Schroeder, Lucas (Taylor) Schroeder, Mary “Carly” Sprow, Emese Sprow, Seth (Emily) Miller and Derek Miller; four great-grandsons, Caden Schroeder, Knox Schroeder, Bud Schroeder and Reed Miller; one brother-in-law, Lowell Beck of Bradford, Illinois; three sisters-in-law, Helen Leu Short and Becky Stuckey, both of Archbold and Dorothy Stuckey of Stryker. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Marilyn Short, Martha Wyse and Marlene Beck; one brother, Roger Wyse. Visitation for Carol A. Stuckey will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity.

A Celebration of Life Service, will be held, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Lockport Mennonite Church, 9269 County Road 21-N, Stryker, Ohio with Pastor Steve Heatwole and Pastor Allen Rutter officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Private graveside services were held prior to her Celebration of Life service in Lockport Cemetery.
