Obituary for Carol Ann McCalment Print On Saturday February 9, 2019 Dr. Carol McCalment Fuqua passed away at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. Carol was a gifted physician, loving mother and wife. Throughout her years as a physician, Carol touched many lives, helped countless individuals and was known simply as “Dr. Carol”. Carol was a strong willed, tenacious, dynamic woman who instilled in all three of her daughters a strong work ethic and the ability to persevere.

Carol was a caregiver to her mother Emily Ann for over 30 years, her daughters Kathleen, Karen and Christina will carry on in that role in taking care of their dear “Mamo”. Carol is survived by her loving husband Jack M. Fuqua whom she married on December 14, 2008, her brother James (Lupe) McCalment of New Mexico, brother Charles (Oksana) McCalment of California, mother Emily Ann McCalment of Lexington Park, MD, daughter Kathleen (Gary) Wallace of Lexington Park, MD, daughter Karen (Bob) Phillippi of Lexington Park, MD, daughter Christina and fiance Bill of Leonardtown, MD. Carol is also survived by her grandchildren Omni (Nereyda) Wallace, Jade (Clint) Wallace, Terri Wallace, Jaime Grumbine, Jeremy Grumbine, Blaine Beaudin, Misty (Adam) Hudson.

Great grandchildren Noah, Cameron, Tatyana, Alexander, Jaden and Logan. Niece and Nephew Charles “Cam” McCalment and Katie McCalment and daughter Clover. Services will be private.
