OBITUARY Carol Faye Walker Matheny January 18, 1937 – December 30, 2018 Carol Faye Walker Matheny, 81, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at home. She was born on January 18, 1937 in Charleston, a daughter of the late Leonard and Irene Walker. Carol was a graduate of DuPont High School.

She worked for the United States Bankruptcy Courts as a court stenographer and later she worked for the WV Department of Highways Legal Division. She had been retired for more than 20 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was a hard worker and would help no matter what the situation or her condition.

She will be sorely missed by all those she has touched. She is survived by her two sons, Gary Edward and Keith Alan; daughters-in-law, Tammy Matheny and Toni Dolan; grandchildren, Kelsey Vaughn and Kyleigh Matheny; great-granddaughter, Reagan McKenzie Vaughn; four sisters, Jessie Thompson of Scott Depot, Shelva Richards of St. Albans, Sonja Dingess of Charleston and Elsie Hackney of Elkview; two brothers, James “Rusty” Walker of Mooresville, NC and Don Walker of South Charleston. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Mike Skiles officiating.

An inurnment will be at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the funeral home.
