Carol Gardner Moran, age 83, of Terra Alta, WV passed away Monday afternoon, December 31, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Friendsville, MD following an extended illness. Carol was born December 5, 1935 in Yorktown Heights, NY, and was a daughter of the late Nelson and Josephine (Dunning) Peckham. She is survived by three children, Karen and husband Bernie Engel, Tom and wife Justine Moran, and Patrick and wife Tammy Moran; five grandchildren; and her sister, Nancy Ladyman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Moran, and a sister, Lois Peckham. At the request of the family, Carol will be cremated with no public services scheduled at this time. Professional services have been provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Morgantown.
