Carol Hamas, 66, passed away unexpectedly January 3, 2019. Born in Akron, Carol had lived in Akron all of her life. She retired in 2000 from Summit County after 30 years of service.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, and feeding the birds. Carol loved spending time with her family and her dogs. She is survived by her brothers John(Marge)Kazlauskas of East Canton Ohio and Charles (Susan) Kazlauskas of Acworth Georgia, sister Diane Shinn of Akron Ohio, nephews Keith and Charles Shinn, both of Akron Ohio, and her beloved dog Ruby.

Visitation will be 6 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). A Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Summit County Human Society, 7996 Darrow Rd. , Twinsburg, OH 44087.
