Carol Lou Blythe, 76, of Effingham, formerly of Stewardson, passed away peacefully at 3:38 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. Carol was born January 10, 1943, in Stewardson, the daughter of Samuel and Lelah (Blue) Bivins. She and R. Ray Blythe were married on September 24, 1961 at Stewardson United Methodist Church.

She was a homemaker who treasured time spent with her loving family, sewing and reading.
