Carol Louise (Karns) Urey, 81, of Oil City passed away early Thursday March 7, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 28, 1937 in Oil City and was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Elizabeth Burneisen Karns.

Carol married William J. Urey July 1, 1960 who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Reno Methodist Church. Carol enjoyed spending time with family, her cats, gardening, bird watching, fishing, camping, and playing cards every week.

She was a loving mother who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter Carrie Urey and wife Orlinda Janiors of Pittsburgh. Carol is also survived by siblings Lavonne Hutchinson, David Karns and wife Mary Lou, and Fred Karns; also, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Carol is preceded in death by her sister Grace Malys. There will be a memorial service announced at a later date. Memorials may be made in Carols name to the Venango County Humane Society or to the Womens Society of Reno Methodist Church.
