Obituary for Carol M Chase (DeGrood) Carol M. Chase (DeGrood), 83, of Pendleton, formerly of North Tonawanda, Thursday (July 12, 2018). Mrs. Chase was born in Buffalo, New York on February 16, 1935 to Cyril and Mildred (Kuhn) DeGrood. She was a member of St. Matthews Church, in her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family at their camp.

She was always determined to do things her way, she enjoyed the beauty of nature, all animals, bird watching, swimming, biking, travel, puzzles and crosswords. Carol was the devoted wife of Chet Chase, loving Mother; who was always willing to help her children Diane, Jeffrey, and William. Mrs. Chase was predeceased by her husband Chester Chase and two sisters Jean (James) Von Wryeza, and Marie (Claude) Getzin.

Carol was survived by her loving children Diane (Michael) Chermak, Jeffrey (Michele Patti) and William (Melanie Runyon) Chase, proud grandmother of Carol (Daniel) Ragnar, Susan (Christopher) Majewski, proud great grandmother of Tyler, Ryan, Ally, Jack, and Macie, also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 A.M. If desired memorials may be made to the SPCA in Carol’s Memory. You will be missed but always in our hearts….
