Obituary for Carol Mae Chance Services for Carol Chance, of Adel, will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Des Moines Open Bible located at 116 Army Post Road, Des Moines. Carol Mae Koopman was born October 8, 1944 to David and Ruth Koopman in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Carol grew up in Pella, Iowa and graduated from Pella High School with the class of 1962.

Carol was united in marriage to Jerry William Chance. The couple was blessed with one son, Criss Jay Chance. Carol passed away November 28, 2018 at the age of 74.

She is survived by her son, Jay (Shelly) Chance, and granddaughter, Sarah Chance. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ruth Koopman; husband, Jerry Chance; and granddaughter, Grace Chance.
