OBITUARY Carol Noack April 23, 1935 – July 28, 2018 Carol Lynn (Laurents) Noack of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on July 28, 2018. Carol was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 23, 1935, to Burton and Jane (Hebert) Laurents. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1953 and earned her BS and Masters in Accounting at Lamar University.

She was a CPA and a retired Professional Registered Parliamentarian. Carol was interested in genealogy and was a member of several heritage organizations. She was also a member of the Beaumont Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) and the St. James Altar Society.

She volunteered at the Port Arthur International Seafarers’ Center and at numerous other local organizations throughout her years in Port Arthur. Her hobbies included amateur radio (KK5L), needlework, reading, and especially crossword puzzles. She was a whiz with the NY Times puzzles!

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Marvin Noack, children Barbara (Kenneth) Smith of Port Arthur, Sharon (Morrie) Bobrow of San Francisco, Kim Chow of Lihue, Hawaii, and Mark (Edna) Noack of Port Arthur. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael (Polly) Smith of Port Arthur, Melissa (David) Smith ton of New Port Richey, Florida, Scarlett Cormier of Port Neches, Benjamin (Becky) Lang of San Rafael, California, Burton Olivier of Los Angeles, Dexter Olivier of Lihue, Hawaii, and Ethan Noack of Port Arthur. Carol’s great grandchildren include Samuel Smith of Kapahi, Hawaii, Trinity and Taya Adams of Port Neches, and Daniel, Matthew, and Andrew ton of New Port Richey, Florida.

She is predeceased in death by her stillborn daughter, Angela. Carol’s brilliant mind and kindness will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her and love her. The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Harbor Hospice, and Fr.

David Edwards for their support, love, and care of Carol and of our family. Visitation will be on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Donations in Carol’s memory can be made to, The Port Arthur International Seafarer’s Center or St. James Catholic Church.
