Carol Thompson, 76 of Logan departed this life Wednesday February 26, 2019 at Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville. She was born March 6, 1942 at Logan to the late Audna and Delphia Webb Hall. Carol worked for Social Security for 30 years.

She is survived by: her husband, Jimmy Thompson; son, “Cigar” (Debra) Thompson; daughter, Deborah (Jeff) Zemolong; grandchildren, Daniel (Shana) Zemolong, Zachariah (Erica) Zemolong, Jennifer (Matthew) McCallister, and Tina Mahone; great-grandchildren, Haleigh June Bobersky, Lucy Mae Zemolong, Brandon McCallister, Issac McCallister, and Jaiden Mahone; sisters, Ruth Emma Curry, Diana Babcock, and Virginia Mullins; and brother, Glen (Aracoma) Hall. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 2, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan with Rev. Lonnie Gore Jr. officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday March 1, 2019 also at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.
