Carola “Robin” Juanita Thomas TRAVERSE CITY – Carola “Robin” Thomas, age 89, of Traverse City passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at her home in the loving care of her family. Robin was born on March 18, 1930 to Helen Edith (Burnham) and Henry Rambow. She graduated from High School in Monroe, Michigan in 1948, then worked as a Bookkeeper and in Real Estate for many years.

Robin and her late husband, Jim, loved people, and will be fondly remembered for hosting many great gatherings of friends and family. She was an amazing cook, loved drawing and stained glass, and had a special affection for her horses in early years and dogs throughout her life. Beloved wife of 59 years to Jim, who preceded her in death in 2012.

Dear mother of Michael (Ruth) and Todd Thomas. Loving “Lola” (grandmother) to Trena (Gabe) Courey and Jim Thomas, treasured great-grandmother to Caroline and Ezra. Dear sister of Susan Lane and Paige VanLaningham.

A memorial service for Robin will take place at 3:30 pm on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Gary Hogue will officiate.
