Obituary for Carol Ackerman Carol Ann Ackerman, age 84, of Joplin, passed away on Wednesday September 5, 2018, at Spring River Christian Village, following an illness. Carol Ann was born on January 19, 1934 in Sedalia, Mo. , the daughter of the late Theodore and Ermel (Hall) Ackerman.

She has lived most of her life in Joplin. She attended Joplin Business College. She worked as an office manager for Prudential Insurance in Joplin.

She was a Baptist and attended Forest Park Baptist Church. Carol Ann is survived by her sister, Judy Emmert, of Webb City, Mo. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Charles Emmert in 2017; and by a special aunt, Henryetta Prock in 2016.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Randy Wilson, Minister will officiate.
