Obituary of Carol Del Vecchio CAROL A. DEL VECCHIO, {NEE-SMITH} OF DOVER, PASSED AWAY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2018, AT 12:46 P M AT MORRISTOWN MEDICAL CENTER. SHE WAS 79 YEARS YOUNG. BORN JULY 11, 1939, IN MOUNT EPHRAIM, N J., THE DAUGHTER OF FRANK SMITH AND ANNA PAPANIA SMITH.

CAROL GRADUATED GLOUCESTER CITY HIGH SCHOOL IN 1957. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE AUDUBON ALL-GIRL DRUM & BUGLE CORPS AND WAS DRUM MAJOR FROM 1956-1958. IT WAS THROUGH DRUM CORPS THAT SHE MET HER FUTURE HUSBAND MICHAEL J DEL VECCHIO OF DOVER N J. THEY BECAME ENGAGED JANUARY 1959 AND WERE MARRIED ON CAROL’S BIRTHDAY, JULY 11, 1959.

SHE BROUGHT JOY TO EVERONE SHE MET. THE ROOM WOULD SEEM TO BRIGHTEN WHEN SHE ENTERED. SHE WAS LOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND MICHAEL J., FIVE CHILDREN: MICHAEL, FRANK, KEVIN, MARIA, AND BRYAN, AND TWO YOUNGER SISTERS. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE IS BEING PLANNED. ARRANGEMENTS BY TUTTLE FUNERAL HOME, RANDOLPH.
