Obituary for Carolina De La Rosa Solorio Carolina Solorio July 4, 1924 – May 26, 2018 Carolina Solorio, 93, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was born on July 4, 1924, in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was proud to say that everyone celebrated her birthday on the 4th of July.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cerapio and Dolores De La Rosa; seven siblings; and her granddaughter, Veronica Pino. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Abelino Solorio; her sister, Elvira Flores; and her nine children and their spouses: Rosa Solorio-García (Lorenzo), Mike Solorio (Andrea), Sylvia Pino (Robert), Diana Diaz (Eddie), Alicia Stafford, Carmen Shelton (Tim), Mina Solorio, Gonzalo Solorio (Tonia) and Abelino Solorio, Jr She also leaves behind her beloved 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Our mom taught us the importance of family, and she loved having loved ones over and always wanted to feed them. No one ever left our home with an empty stomach. She also loved being out in the garden with our dad enjoying her flowers, which she never wanted anyone to cut as she wanted them to last longer.

Our family would like to thank everyone at Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mother, especially Sonia, Jamie, Jae, Diana, and Oscar. Siempre la amaremos, Mami. We will love you Always and Forever, Mama.
