Obituary of Caroline Morgan Caroline Whitmore Morgan, 91, of Clarks Summit and Naples, Fla. , died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Casswallon Morgan.

Caroline was born on Oct. 17, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Henry and Lucy Whitmore. She received her associate’s degree from Edgewood Park.

Caroline was a member of the Junior League of Scranton, a sustainer of the league, president of the Board of Directors for Friendship House, member of the Waverly Women’s Club, Waverly Country Club and volunteered frequently at the Waverly Community House. She was a long-time member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church of Scranton, and a member of the United Church of Christ in Naples, Fla. She loved to play golf, was a member of the Country Club of Scranton, and the Royal Poinciana Club in Naples, Fla.

She loved to play bridge and to travel. She is survived by four daughters, Suzan Morgan Gannett and her husband, Robert F., of Thornton, N.H.; Linda Morgan Eisenbrandt and her husband, Frederick H., of Baltimore, Md. ; Ellen Morgan Mesko and her husband, John P., of Dunmore; Jane Morgan Van Horn and her husband, Christian S., of Dalton; and son, Harry Casswallon Morgan Jr. and his wife, Barbara P., of Clarks Summit; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Sally Marquardt, of Waverly; two nieces and two nephews. The family wishes to thank all her caregivers for their kind and loving care as well as Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Allied Palliative Care. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, May 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave.

, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. A funeral service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church on Madison Avenue in Scranton on Monday, May 7, at 11 a.m., with services by the Rev. Scott Loomer, pastor.

Interment, Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caroline’s memory to a charity of your choice.
